COFFEE GROWING

Coffee is a permanent crop, it is planted and begins to produce after 2 years. Its productive life can be greater than 40 years, its production occurs once a year during what is called the coffee cycle.

The nursery is covered, this way the plants can adapt to the sun, the shade and they can be protected from the impact of the rain. Here the plant is put into beds that have been germinated and transplanted into bags for the next six months, to later be planted in its original place. The establishment of the plantation requires stroke activities, care and cultural practices of the coffee; the coffee stays here the rest of its life.

We have been selling coffee for over 50 years, to different countries like Germany, USA and Japan.

SUGAR CAIN

We have 100 apples planted, which are adjacent to the rubber plantations.

HARVEST

Starts in December and ends in February.

CATTLE

The Nelore race corresponds to the Ongole cattle in India It was exported widely to Tropical America and other countries in order to improve the native cattle. As elsewhere in the Zebu cattle, its resistance to disease and ability to survive in dry pastures, even with fodder shortage it has been of great value in the formation of beef cattle, able to thrive in tropical conditions.

These animals are used for their meat and milk, but we mainly used them for their meat. It is very lively, light and gentle when treated carefully.

This breed hardiness has developed very well in warm climates and is recommended for extensive farms with poor soils and low quality pastures. They are very strong, great and useful animals for heavy work. They have a long body and short neck, long and muscular limbs. The predominant color is white, though stains dark ash occur in the head and hump, plus black spots on knees and hooves with both fore and hind legs. The face is narrow coffin-shaped and straight profile.
